Girls Basketball Class 3A Regional Projections & Bubble Watch Week 11

For my projections I am using the CHSAA Seeding and Selection Index. I am going to be predicting the League Champions. Remember to qualify for Regionals you must be ranked inside the top 32 or win your League (If you have 5 or more teams). At the end I pick the 8 teams I think make it to state based on my projections.

Class 3A

League Champions earn an automatic berth in the playoffs as long as they win their league outright. Each league must have a minimum of 5 teams in it for an automatic berth.
Seeding Criteria for the 32-team state bracket-CHSAA Seeding & Selection Index published after the regular season. Seeds 9-16 are true seeded except to try and avoid league matchups in the First Round Only. Teams may be moved one spot up or down. Seeds 17-32 may be moved up to two spots based upon geography & League matchups.
First Two Rounds of the state tournament (Regionals) will be hosted by the top seed in that quadrant of the bracket, over two days. (4-teams total).
Top 8 teams will advance through the bracket. The bracket Will Not be reseeded before State. Class 3A Great 8 will play a Modified consolation bracket. Teams losing on Thursday will not advance to Friday.

4A/3A/2A Frontier: 4A Team Wins (Bennett)

4A/3A Tri-Peaks League: C.S Christian

4A/3A Metro League: Denver Christian

4A/3A Intermountain: Centauri

4A/3A City League: 4A Team Wins

3A/2A/1A San Juan: 1A Team Wins (Nucla)

3A/2A/1A Mile High: 2A Team Wins (Heritage Christian)

3A/2A Foothills League: Addenbrooke Classical

3A Black Forest League: Thomas MacLaren (Will not Automatically Qualify)

3A Western Slope: Cedaredge

3A Patriot League: Resurrection Christian

First Four Out

Jefferson (33), Wray (34), SkyView Academy (35), Rye (36)

The race for the final few spots is down to just the top 36 teams in the seeding index. I would say Middle Park at #30 should be in, barring a huge upset. Liberty Common at #31 and Forge Christian at #32 are the main teams at risk. Liberty Common sists at .485 and they have not put in their game result from last night and that could affect the standings, and they may have one game remaining. Forge Christian sits at .481 they face Denver Christian in their final game of the season, and they will be underdogs in that matchup. Jefferson sits at .446. Their final game is against a Non Varsity Opponent and will not count towards their record so I don’t believe they can jump into the top 32. Wray sits at .435 they have at least two games remaining I believe and if they can win both will have a shot to push for the top 32. SkyView Academy (.410) and Rye (.409) need much more help and Rye I believe has competed their schedule. SkyView Academy has two games remaining and would need to upset Lyons in their final game to have a shot at the top 32.

Bracket- League matchups will be avoided in the first round only. 8 Regional winners qualifying for state. State will not be re-seeded! And play a Modified consolation bracket!
