Class 3A Girls Basketball Regional Predictions
Regionals are here and it’s win or go home time. Reaching Regionals is one of many steps for teams looking to reach the State Championship. To reach the state tournament is simple. Win your Region and you will go to the State Tournament. 8 regions and 8 teams advance to the State Tournament. Remember this is just my opinion and we are not cheering against any team. We know all the hard work that each team has put in to reach this point. Good Luck to all 32 teams!
Region 1 at Resurrection Christian
#1 Resurrection Christian over #32 Forge Christian
#17 Gunnison over #16 Platte Valley
#16 vs #17 should be a good one as both teams hope to take their shot at the #1 team.

Resurrection Christian looks to make their run to the State Tournament this season. They will be tested in the regional finals but should advance.
Region 2 at Strasburg
#8 Strasburg over #25 Meeker
#9 Roaring Fork over #24 Lyons
Both high seeds will push the top seeds but look for the experience of both teams to help them advance into the regional finals.
#8 Strasburg over #9 Roaring Fork
Strasburg has defeated some of the top teams in Class 3A and they will look to defeat another top team from the Western Slope.
Region 3 at C.S Christian
#5 C.S Christian over #28 Windsor Charter
#12 Brush over #21 Peyton
Brush vs Peyton will be the matchup to watch in this region. I think Brush has played a tough schedule and I think get a win and set up a big matchup in the regional finals.
#5 C.S Christian over #12 Brush
This could be one of the best matchups in the Regional Finals. Two teams who are used to making it to regionals. C.S Christian I think advances to keep defending their state title.
Region 4 at Cedaredge
#4 Cedaredge over #29 Ignacio
#13 Yuma over #20 Monte Vista
Yuma vs Monte Vista could be interesting. Monte Vista at times played tough against top teams and they have seen plenty, playing against 3 teams who are hosting regionals. Yuma has the tradition, and I think it makes the biggest difference.
#4 Cedaredge over #13 Yuma
Cedaredge is undefeated and will have pressure on them to make it to state. Yuma has the tradition but also played a tougher schedule than Cedaredge did. I have Cedaredge on upset alert in this game.
Region 5 at Centauri
#2 Centauri over #31 Liberty Common
#15 Ellicott over #18 Manual
Ellicott vs Manual looks to be one of the better opening round matchups in Class 3A.
#2 Centauri over #15 Ellicott
Centauri has played a very tough schedule and look to be poised to reach that state tournament. I think Ellicott can challenge them early but look for Centauri to advance.
Region 6 at Highland
#7 Highland over #26 Buena Vista
#10 Wiggins over #23 North Fork
The higher seeds should advance here as long as they don’t overlook their opponents.
#7 Highland over #10 Wiggins
The best matchup in the Regional Finals is this game. Highland vs Wiggins meet again in the regional finals after facing each other during the regular season. This should be a good one as both teams hope to make it to state.
Region 7 at Salida
#6 Salida over #27 Conifer
#22 Vanguard over #11 Thomas MacLaren
Conifer is the biggest wild card. They have a great record and played against mostly 4A/5A teams. How will they handle a very good Salida team. Vanguard is my biggest upset pick in the opening round. Vanguard played a more difficult schedule than Thomas MacLaren and I think it makes a huge difference in this game.

These two teams have faced each other this season and should be a good one as they meet again.
Region 8 at Denver Christian
#3 Denver Christian over #30 Middle Park
#14 St. Mary’s over #19 Addenbrooke Classical
The higher seeds should advance here as long as they don’t overlook their opponents.
#3 Denver Christian over #14 St. Mary’s
This could be another sleeper matchup as these two teams should matchup well. Denver Christian has been a top team all year and I think advance.
