Class 2A Baseball Regional Predictions
If you have been following MileHigh Prep Report since we started, you know how much we like doing our predictions even if we catch slack. Just know we are not cheering against any teams, and we are proven wrong all the time. We enjoy putting the predictions out there and look forward to seeing the results of the games. Region 1

Regional Finals
#1 Forge Christian over #16 Wray
Forge Christian has proven to be one of the top teams in Class 2A all season. Wray vs Ignacio should be a solid game in the opening round. If we get a Forge Christian vs Wray regional finals this could be a very interesting game as Wray has competed with many of the top teams in Class 2A.
Region 2
#2 Dayspring Christian over #31 Sedgwick County
#18 Burlington over #15 SkyView Academy
Regional Finals
#2 Dayspring Christian over #18 Burlington
I think we see our first upset in the opening round as I think Burlington has started playing well down the stretch and they are one of the teams I would not want to meet up with right now. Dayspring Christian has the pitching depth and I think that is a major factor to advancing to the state tournament.
Region 3
#3 Fowler over #30 Clear Creek
#14 Dawson School over #19 Byers
Regional Finals
#3 Fowler over #14 Dawson School
Dawson School vs Byers could be one of the best opening round games of Regionals. Dawson School and Byers will both throw their top guys and should be a great game. Fowler, I believe will await the winner of that game. Fowler depth will be key and Fowler has played a tough schedule to have them ready for this game.
Region 4
#4 Peyton over #29 Estes Park
#13 Wiggins over #20 North Fork
Regional Finals
#4 Peyton over #13 Wiggins
This begins a run of some very tough regionals. Estes Park and North Fork have both proven they can hang with the top teams and have some close loses and wins. This region could test the pitching depth of teams as you don’t want to risk being upset in the opening round. Peyton has the most pitching depth, and I think proves to be the difference in this regional.
Region 5
#5 Yuma over #28 Olathe
#12 Monte Vista over #21 Swink
Regional Finals
#12 Monte Vista over #5 Yuma
This could be one of the more difficult regions. Monte Vista vs Swink should be a good game, and Olathe is not a team that can be overlooked. If we get a Monte Vista vs Yuma regional finals it will be one of the better regional finals with both teams having pitching depth and both teams looking to advance.
Region 6
#6 Highland over #27 Buena Vista
#11 Las Animas over #22 Front Range Christian

#6 Highland over #11 Las Animas
Another difficult regional with plenty of great games. Las Animas vs Front Range Christian will be a great game to watch. Both teams have great pitchers and that will be key to whoever advances. If we get a Highland vs Las Animas regional finals that will be another great matchup. Highland and Las Animas both have difficult schedules, but the difference could be Highland having their #1 for that game. Regardless, it will be a great regional final.
Region 7
#7 Denver Christian over #26 Lyons
#10 Cedaredge over #23 Crowley County

I have Cedaredge on upset alert in the opening round of regionals. I nearly picked Crowley County to upset Cedaredge, and I believe this game comes down to the wire. Denver Christian imo is a very good #7 seed and I would not want to face a team that has played tons of top teams in both Class 3A & 2A.
Region 8
#8 Platte Valley over #25 Bishop Machebeuf
#9 Limon over #24 St. Mary’s
Regional Finals
#8 Platte Valley over #9 Limon
We wrap things up with region 8. This should be a great region, and I think Limon vs St. Mary’s should be a great game. Limon has plenty of tradition and I believe advance to the regional finals. Key for Platte Valley will be trying to beat Bishop Machebeuf without throwing their Ace. Platte Valley has defeated top teams in Class 3A like Eaton & Brush plus have a huge win over Forge Christian to end the year. Key to them is having their top guy throw in the regional finals to punch their ticket to Pueblo. Limon as mentioned has key tradition and also played a tough schedule down the stretch. I believe this will be a good game and come down to the wire.
