Just know we are not cheering against any teams, and we are proven wrong all the time. We enjoy putting the predictions out there and look forward to seeing the results of the games. Winners Bracket First Round

#1 Forge Christian over #8 Monte Vista

Forge Christian has been one of the top teams in Class 2A all year. They have big wins over Denver Christian, Dayspring Christian, Colorado Academy, and Valley. They have leaned on their top pitchers all year and at regionals that showed. Monte Vista pulled the only upset of the regional round and they are finally healthy. Monte Vista pitching came up big in regionals and they will need an equally big performance to pull the upset in the first round.

#5 Highland over #4 Peyton Second Best Matchup in Opening Round

Peyton has just one loss on the season and that was to Manitou Springs back in April. Peyton got pushed at regionals and was able to outscore North Fork to get to state. Highland dominated at regionals scoring over 10 runs in both games plus getting a huge shutout victory over Las Animas in the regional finals.

#6 Denver Christian over #3 Fowler Third Best Matchup in Opening Round

Denver Christian cruised through regionals defeating both teams by 9+ runs. They showed why I have had them ranked #2 all season long. They will face the team I have ranked in the top 5 all year and #3 to end the season. Fowler got pushed by a red-hot Byers team in the regional finals but like Fowler has done all season they held on late to get by Byers. Fowler has 7 wins this season by 2 or less runs including wins over Dayspring Christian and Monte Vista both in the state tournament.

#2 Dayspring Christian over #7 Platte Valley Best Matchup in Opening Round

Dayspring Christian has been on an absolute terror since mid-April and have won 11 straight games including wins over Wiggins and Monte Vista. Dayspring Christian played well at regionals picking up both wins by 9+ runs. Platte Valley may be the hottest team to enter regionals. They ended the year defeating Eaton, Brush, and Forge Christian plus close losses to Sterling, University, and Valley. Platte Valley is battle tested and this should be a good matchup in the opening round.
