MileHigh Prep Reports Top Returning O-Lines Class 2A
Picking the top returning Offensive Lineman was a very challenging feat. It was a lot of digging through who was lost and who is coming back. An offensive line could be hurt by departures of a few players or could strengthen. This was one of the toughest things to pick so I am not putting them in any order! If you think I am missing someone or have the wrong info please message me. It’s very tough to know exactly what offensive linemen have graduated or returning. (If you know the starters on the offensive line and want names to put down feel free to message me)

| Classical Academy | Classical Academy is your defending State Champions, and they were anchored by a senior led offensive line which will have to replace three to four holes this year. TCA does return plenty of size but will have some inexperience with at least 10 Juniors/Seniors returning from a season ago. TCA may have some growing pains but look for their Offensive Line to still be a top unit. |
| Wellington HS | Wellington was your runner up last season, and they return a good group of Juniors & Seniors. Wellington lost their first senior class which included around 3 or 4 offensive & defensive linemen. Wellington will return 11 Juniors & Senior from a year ago and look for their physical style of play to be led by a good offensive line group. |
| Basalt HS | Basalt was powered by one of the top rushing attacks in Class 2A a season ago. They lose 2 or 3 starters on the offensive line but return 8 Juniors & Seniors for this year. Basalt will bring back a talented skill position group and look for the offensive line to take a big step forward after their trip to the semifinals a year ago. |
| Strasburg HS | Strasburg first year back into Class 2A was a successful one as they made it to the Quarterfinals. Strasburg returns a very talented group of players and lose just 6 total seniors from a year ago. Strasburg will lose at most 3 starters on the offensive line and return 8 junior & senior offensive/defensive lineman from a year ago. Strasburg will be a top team this year and look for their offensive line to continue to improve. |
| Lamar HS | Lamar took a big step forward a season ago reaching the Quarterfinals and return a very good skill position group this season. Lamar offensive & defensive line should also take a huge step forward as they lose at most just two starters on the offensive line. Lamar will return at least three starters from the offensive line plus return 10 Junior/Senior Offensive & Defensive Lineman from a year ago. |
| Berthoud HS | Berthoud continues to improve year in and year out and once again reached the Quarterfinals. This year the skill position group will be hit hard losing a very talented group. Berthoud offensive & defensive line group lose just 4 seniors and will look to reload with a big Junior & Senior group. Berthoud will see 9 Junior/Senior offensive & defensive lineman return and be leaders for a young skill position group. |
| Delta HS | Delta fell in the first round of the playoffs last season and lost a talented senior group including 4 offensive & defensive linemen. Delta will look to rebuild this season and will turn to 6 returning Junior/Senior Offensive and Defensive Lineman to step up this year. Delta will look for new players to step up across the board this season. |
| Alamosa HS | Alamosa reached the playoffs a season ago, falling in the first round. Alamosa lose a very talented skill position group from a season ago. Alamosa will return a big offensive line group this season and return at least 3 starters on the offensive line. Alamosa will return a group of 6 junior & senior players that will be leaders for a young skill position group. |
| The Academy | The Academy made the playoffs last season and fell in the first round. The Academy will take a big hit with their skill position group losing over 80% of their total offensive yardage. The Academy will return the heart of the offensive with at least 2 or 3 starters back on the offensive line. The Academy also returns 7 junior & seniors from a year ago and this unit must be leaders for a young skill position group. |
| Denver West HS | Denver West was the surprise team to make the playoffs last season. Denver West will look to build on the success of last season and return a talented skill position group. The offensive line will take a small hit, losing 3 possibly 4 starters on the offensive line. Denver West will turn to 8 returning juniors/seniors to fill the holes left by last season. |
| Aspen HS | Aspen took a big step forward last season going 5-4 and just missing out on the playoffs. Aspen will look for their offensive line to step up again this season and they lose just 2 seniors from last years offensive/defensive line group. Aspen will return at least 3 starters from a year ago and will look to a group of 9 juniors/seniors to be leaders for a team who could make a jump into the playoffs. |
| Elizabeth HS | Elizabeth once again reached the playoffs but fell in the opening round. Elizabeth will have some big holes to fill on the offensive line losing 7 seniors from a season ago. Elizabeth will have key leadership back in the skill position group but also return 7 juniors/seniors from a season ago. Elizabeth is always a physical team and look for that to continue this year. |
| Kent Denver HS | Kent Denver missed the playoffs last season going 5-4. Kent Denver will look to take a step forward this year and reach the playoffs and return a talented skill position group from a season ago. Kent Denver will look for their offensive line to take a big step forward and will look for 6 juniors/seniors to step up and be leaders this season. Kent Denver will have a few holes to fill but look for this group to step up this year. |
| Resurrection Christian | Resurrection Christian missed the playoff last season going 5-4. Resurrection Christian will lose just 4 senior offensive/defensive linemen, and this group could be poised to have a huge season for the Cougars. Resurrection Christian returns 8 juniors/senior offensive & defensive lineman this season and this group will have to be leaders as Resurrection Christian lose some key skill position players. |
