This week we enter the first week of the postseason. There are 8 sites, hosted by the top 8 seeds, each with 4 team each. We will look at all 32 teams this week and see who is at each site, how the regular season went for each of these teams, and the stat leaders that got these teams here.

Site 1
1.University
University ends their regular season as the number 1 seed and will be the host of site 1. The Bulldogs ended their regular season on an 11-game win streak with a 21-2 overall record, a 9-0 league record, and 1st in the Patriot League. The team has not yet played Englewood, who they will face in the first postseason game, but was able to beat Sterling 14-1 and The Academy 12-0 earlier in the season. University ended last season as State Runner-ups last year and in 2022 to Eaton, and in 2021 to Lutheran, and has made every postseason since the beginning of their program in 2016.

32. Englewood
The Pirates make it to the postseason as the last team to get in at 32. Englewood ended their regular season with an 8-11 overall record, a 3-5 league record, and 6th in the Frontier League. The Pirates have not played any other team that will be at site 1 but will be hoping to make a good appearance at their first playoff game since 2022.

16. Sterling
Sterling enters the postseason as the 16 seed and goes to University to play in this first round of the playoffs. The Tigers ended the regular season with a 12-11 overall record, a 4-5 league record and in 6th in the Patriot League. The only team that Sterling has played at site 1 were the hosts, University, where the Tigers lost 1-14. Sterling missed the playoffs last season but was there in 2023, 2022, lost the game to go to the championships in 2021 by the eventual champions of Lutheran, and lost to the same team in the playoffs in 2020. Sterling will be looking to make a big playoff run this season.

17. The Academy
The Wildcats go into the postseason in the 17 seed with an 11-12 overall record, a 3-3 league record, and 3rd in the Denver Metro League. During the regular season, The Academy lost to University 0-12 and has not played the other two teams that are at site 1. The Wildcats are no stranger to the postseason and have made appearances in 2024, 2023, 2022, and 2021. The team will be looking to beat Sterling and take on the number 1 team in University to make it to the final week of the season.

Site 2
2. Eaton
The Reds enter the playoffs as the number two seed and the hosts of site 2. Eaton finished the regular season with a 19-4 overall record, an 8-1 league record, and 2nd in Patriot League. Eaton has already faced the teams they will be hosting, beating Meeker 24-0, La Junta 11-1 and Resurrection Christian 19-0. Eaton has been a powerhouse in softball for a while and will be going for the 4th title in row since 2022, and their 5th since 2020.

31. Meeker
Meeker gets into the postseason as the 31 seed with an overall record of 6-15, a league record of 4-8 and the 5th place spot in the Western Slope League. The Cowboys faced Eaton earlier in the season and fell to the Reds 24-0. Meeker has made some past appearances in the postseason, including in 2024, 2023, and in 2022. The Cowboys will need to battle to get past the Reds and get into the final week of the season.

15. La Junta
La Junta ends their regular season with an 11-12 overall record, a 3-5 league record, 3rd in the Tri Peaks I league and with the 15th seeds. The Tigers have only previously played Eaton this season, where the Tigers lost 1-11. La Junta has made some previous appearances in the postseason, including in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and last season. The team will be looking to see if they can beat Resurrection Christian to take on the Juggernauts in Eaton to make it to the next phase of the State Tournament.

18. Resurrection Christian
Resurrection Christian is the last team at site 2, getting in at the 18 seed with a 7-12 overall record, a 2-7 league record and in 7th place in the Patriot League. The Cougars will be looking to beat La Junta to have rematch against Eaton who beat them in their last game of the season 0-19. Previous postseason appearances for Resurrection Christian were in 2022, 2023 and the 2024 season.

Site 3
3. Southeast Colorado
Southeast Colorado is the host of site 3 with the number 3 seed. The Angels finished their regular season with a 15-2 overall record, an 8-0 league record and in 1st in the Tri Peaks I League. The team has faced Alamosa earlier in the season and beat them 11-6 and17-7. The team will be looking to beat Florence and the winner of Alamosa and Gunnison to move on to the final week of the season. Southeast Colorado has made postseason appearances since their programs inaugural season in 2020 where they were under Wiley.

30. Florence
Florence makes it into the postseason as the 30 seed with an 11-9 overall record, a 2-0 league record and the 1st place spot in the Tri Peaks II League. The Huskies have not played Southeast Colorado or Gunnison this season but did play Alamosa where Florence lost 6-15. This will be the Huskies second postseason appearance at least since 2020, their other time being last season where they lost the fist game to The Academy.

14. Alamosa
Alamosa finishes their regular season with a 14-9 overall record, a 3-5 league record, 4th in the Tri Peaks I league and are the 14th seed. The Mean Moose have already faced the other three teams at site 3 this season and was able to beat Gunnison 12-0 and 20-2 and Florence 15-6, but fell to Southeast Colorado 6-11 and 7-17. Alamosa will be looking to beat Gunnison and get the rematch against the Angels. Alamosa has made a playoff appreciation since the 2021 season.

19. Gunnison
Gunnison enters the postseason with a 12-11 overall record, a 7-5 league record, 3rd in the Western Slope League and as the 19th seed. Gunnison faced Alamosa earlier in the season and lost to them 0-12 and 2-20 but beat Florence in their previous encounter 6-3. Gunnison has made the playoffs every year since 2021 and will look to beat Alamosa and upset Southeast Colorado to make it to the last week of the season.

4. Forge Christian
Forge Christian enters the postseason as the host of site 4 with the 4 seed, a 20-3 overall record, a 6-0 league record and in 1st place in the Denver Metro League. Of the other teams to play at site 4, the only one the Fury has faced this season is Peak to Peak, who lost to Forge Christian 7-0 and 10-0. The team has made short appearances in the postseason since 2021, and will be looking to make a deeper run this season.

The previous appearances for the team were in 2021 and last season.

20. Peak to Peak
Peak to Peak enters the postseason as the 20 seed with a 10-13 overall record, a 3-3 league record, and in 2nd in the Denver Metro League. The Pumas met up with Forge Christian and lost 0-10 earlier in the season and will be looking to beat Delta so they can get the Fury in a rematch and try to upset them to make it to next week. Peak to Peak has made the postseason every year since 2021.

Site 5
5. Wellington
Wellington makes it to the postseason as the 5th seed and the host of site 5. The Eagles are 18-4-1 on the season with am 11-4-1 league record and are in 4th in the Longs Peak League. Wellington has not faced any of the teams they will be hosting yet this season, but will be look to get the wins they need to move onto the final week of the season. Wellington has yet to miss the postseason since their inaugural season in 2022.

This will be the fifth postseason in a row for the team beginning in 2021.

Weld Central has not played Arvada or the other teams in site 5 but will be looking to beat Arvada to play for a chance to make it to the last week of the season. Weld Central has been apart of the postseason every year since at least 2020.

Brush ended their regular season with a 16-6 overall record, a 7-2 league record, 3rd in the Patriot League and goes into the postseason as the 6th seed. The Beetdiggers did not pay Alameda or Cedaredge in the regular season but did play Platte Valley and beat them 15-0. Brush will be looking to win their site as the hosts and move onto the final week of the season. Recent Postseason appearances for the team include 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.

Alameda is on their second postseason appearance in a row since 2020.

Cedaredge will start their postseason against Platte Valley, who they have not played in the regular season, and will be looking to take on Brush, who they also have not played, for a chance to play in the final week of the season. The Bruins have been in the postseason since 2020, but has not made it past the first game since 2020.

Lyons comes into the postseason as the number 7 seed and the host of site 7. The Lions ended their regular season with a 17-5 overall record, a 5-4 league record and in 4th in the Patriot League. Lyons has only previously played Valley this season where the Lions got the win 13-0 and 12-0. This will be Lyons sixth time making the postseason since 2020 and the team will be looking to make a deep run to end their season.
