6-Man Football Playoff Projections Week 8
This year to reach the playoffs is simple. Either win your league title or be inside the top 16 of the CHSAA Seeding Index. After they select the 16 teams that make the playoffs, they use the CHSAA Seeding Index to seed the playoffs. This week I will be giving my predictions on who makes the playoffs, but I will also look at if the season ended today who would make the playoffs at the end. We will update this weekly. Also at the end I will look if we used just the MaxPreps Rankings which will be how they will select and Seed the Teams next year!

6-Man Playoff Predictions (Who I think make the playoffs)
This is who I think make the playoffs and who win the leagues. In the 6-Man ranks all league champions are guaranteed a berth. The rest will be selected by CHSAA Seeding Index. Seeding is determined by CHSAA Seeding Index. I am picking my 11 At-Large teams via non-league schedules, remaining schedules, and how I think teams will do. League Champions is posted first then the At-Large Teams.

Playoff Hunt for Final Spots
Deer Trail, Cheraw, Genoa-Hugo, Primero, Wiley, Cheraw
The field has been trimmed down for the final few spots. I would say if you’re inside the top 9 currently you are a lock for the playoffs. Hanover & Walsh are very close to being locks. Flagler, Fleming, Arickaree/Woodlin, and Branson/Kim are also all very close to locking up the 16 playoffs spots. It’s a big drop from #16 to #17, Branson/Kim is at .5401 and Deer Trail who is #17 is at .3928. I will go team by team from #12 to #20 on the schedule and what I think it will be to lock things up.
