Class 1A Football Playoff Predictions First Round and Full Bracket

Class 1A Playoff Predictions 1^st Round Only

#1 Buena Vista over #16 Holyoke

Buena Vista is the #1 team and has dealt with some injury issues. They will look to get everything sorted out and make a run to the playoffs. Holyoke will look to test the pass defense of Buena Vista. There are two different styles of play, but I do think Buena Vista will advance.

#8 Meeker over #9 Platte Valley 2^nd Best Game of the Week

Two league champions’ clash. Like last season Meeker will host a league champion in Meeker. Platte Valley has played a great second half of the season for Football and will look to ride that momentum into Meeker. Meeker is playing their best Football and this should be a fantastic game!

#4 Centauri over #13 North Fork

Two very physical teams square off at Centauri HS. Both teams play different styles with Centauri in the Spread Offense and North Fork going under Center. Both play physically so controlling the line of scrimmage is key.

#5 Forge Christian over #12 Highland 3^rd Best Game of the Week

Highland will be looking to kick off their loss in the season finale to Platte Valley and will to adjust to the style that Forge Christian plays. For Forge Christian they will need to ready to stop the run and force Highland to throw. Can Highland defense step up enough to slow down the Fury offense.

#2 Limon over #15 Flatirons Academy

A rematch from September with Limon winning 41 to 13. A lot has changed since September for both teams and who makes the adjustments from the first matchup till now is key. I think Limon is back on a mission after suffering their loss to Buena Vista at the end of September.

#10 Monte Vista over #7 C.S Christian Best Game of the Week

This should be a great game between a pair of teams who lost in the League Championship. Two completely different styles of play will be in action this week. C.S Christian wants to spread teams out and throw the ball around. Monte Vista is more of an I-Formation team and wants to run the ball first. Which defense adjusts the most gets the win.

#6 Wray over #11 Rye

Wray looks to start their title defense with their game against Rye. Both teams have some similarities in style. Rye looks to run first and will go from Double Wing, to I-Formation, to Spread. Wray will go in shotgun but will run the ball right down your throat. The more physical team gets the win in this game.

#3 Burlington over #14 Manual

Two teams with completely different styles square off in this first round matchup. Burlington is a heavy run team that wants to play physical. Manual is a spread team that can play with speed. How each teams adjust to their opponent will be key in this game.
