Lyons sophomore Rowan Gantzer opened the event with one of the quickest finals of the day, pinning West Grand freshman Caleb Klotz in 31 seconds to win the 106‑pound title. At 113, Trinidad junior Santiino Garcia‑Sanchez stayed unbeaten with a 10–7 sudden‑victory win over Akron’s Eli Hart.

Center junior Michael Archuleta continued his strong season with a championship fall at 120, while University senior Ayden Arellano dominated the 126‑pound final with a 17–2 tech fall. Dayspring Christian senior Liam Deboer followed with a 19–3 tech fall at 132, and Yuma sophomore David Gaytan added a second‑period pin to claim 138.

Akron swept the middleweights with titles from Jax Kusel (144) and Kaleb Grauer (150), both winning by fall. At 157, West Grand junior Landon Lockhart improved to 10–0 with a late pin over Burlington’s Scout Humrich.

Burlington senior Jason Saucedo controlled the 165‑pound final with a first‑period fall, and Dayspring Christian senior Joseph Noce added another title for the Eagles at 175. Limon junior Carlos Nunez powered to a fall at 190, while Burlington senior Anthony Estrada edged Yuma’s Daden Beauprez 4–3 to win 215.

The tournament closed with a dominant performance from Limon junior Spoke Carr, who pinned Trinidad senior Andreas Bowman in 73 seconds to secure the 285‑pound championship.

Several programs left with momentum, including Burlington, Akron, Yuma, Dayspring Christian, and Limon — each stacking multiple placers and showcasing depth across the lineup.

Cedaredge rolled to a strong showing highlighted by two unbeaten champions: Cash Martinez (120) and Jared Roberts (113), both finishing with multiple falls. The team collected numerous bonus‑point wins and depth scoring from placers like Travis Gill (3rd, 285), Kolter Mann (5th, 190), Cole Wyatt (6th, 215) and Liam Martin (6th, 126), giving the program solid momentum heading into the rest of the season.

North Fork posted a solid tournament showing. Braeden Flores won the 157‑lb title, and Bronson Hall finished 2nd at 126. Valor Long reached the semifinals and placed 4th at 285, while Braden Laiminger took 6th at 175. Several other wrestlers contributed key consolation wins (including multiple falls by Abel Etter and bonus victories from Dal Adam and Jaeger Nay), giving the program useful team points.

Buena Vista’s highlight was Carter Stromer winning the 215‑lb title with a string of falls in the medal rounds. Abel Flowers reached the final at 190 and finished 2nd, while Casen Pridemore fought back to place 5th at 285. Several other wrestlers contributed key consolation wins — notably Matthew Torrens, Wayne Nagel, and Xavier Sauter‑Tarvin.

Ignacio turned in a strong showing. Lincoln DeKay won the 165‑lb title, and Aven Bourriague took 3rd at 120 after a run that included two tech‑falls and a consolation major. Zane Pontine placed 4th at 157. Ignacio also had solid contributions from Joshua Kerrigan and Dillon Brann with key consolation wins. Overall Ignacio collected multiple bonus‑point victories and depth scoring that should help the team in upcoming meets.

Meeker turned in a solid showing with several medalists and strong consolation runs. Koy Weber finished 2nd at 138, while Kael Overton placed 4th at 144 and Cooper Maupin took 4th at 150 after a string of consolation falls. Drake Jones also reached the podium with a 4th‑place finish at 175, and others (Holton Harvey, Tristin Rollins) added key consolation wins to contribute team points.

Week 3 Preview

This final weekend before the Holiday break is dominated by two big tournaments, The Northern Colorado Christmas Tournament in Greeley and the Warrior Classic in Grand Junction.  A few select teams/individuals will also be trekking out to Reno, NV for the Reno Tournament of Champions.
