We have just over one month left of regular season play and we wanted to update our League Predictions plus update our regional contenders. We will have the 32 teams we think make the playoffs plus We will also list the 3 to 6 players we think are in the hunt for the MHPR Player of the League as well. Remember this is all for fun and we are not cheering against any team.

C.S Christian is my pick to win the Tri-Peaks League. C.S Christian is 7-2 currently and have key wins on the season over Centauri, Thomas MacLaren, and Buena Vista. There two loses are quality to 5A Lutheran and #1 Denver Christian. Salida, I believe is the main league title contender with St. Mary’s also being in the mix to challenge C.S Christian. Buena Vista, Vanguard, James Irwin, Lamar, Rye, Manitou Springs, La Junta, Florence, Ellicott are all regional contenders.

Colorado Academy is my pick to win the Metro League. Colorado Academy is 8-2 on the year and could make a run to the Elite 8 in 4A. Denver Christian and Kent Denver are the teams to challenge Colorado Academy for the league title. Both teams will also be in the running for regionals and Denver Christian could be the early favorite to win the Class 3A State Title. Forge Christian, Jefferson Academy, Eagle Ridge, Stargate School, St. Mary’s Academy, and Peak to Peak are regional contenders.

Centauri is a state tournament team and they play good basketball. Centauri is 8-3 with quality loses to 4A University, 5A Montrose, and #1 C.S Christian. Alamosa & Pagosa Springs appear to be the main challengers for the league crown and regional contenders. Monte Vista, Montezuma-Cortez, and Bayfield are regional contenders.

Bennett is my pick to win the Frontier League. Bennett is 9-3 overall in Class 4A and sit with a shot at hosting a regional sitting at #12 in the Seeding Index. Middle Park, Arvada, Arrupe Jesuit, Alameda, Platte Canyon, and Fort Lupton will all try and challenge for the league crown and are your regional contenders.

Roaring Fork is currently undefeated and they have dominated to start the year. Meeker, Cedaredge, and North Fork look to challenge for the league crown and are regional contenders. Gunnison, Grand Valley, and Olathe are also teams that could be regional contenders.

Yuma is my pick to win the Patriot League. Yuma is 9-3 on the season with quality loses to McClave, Sidney NE, and Simla. Yuma could make a deep run. Wiggins and Resurrection Christian are the main League Title Contenders. Both have a shot at knocking off Yuma and both could make deep postseason runs. Platte Valley, Wray, Brush, Highland, Strasburg, Liberty Common, and Windsor Charter are all in the hunt for regionals.
