Class 3A Boys & Girls Regional Projections Week 11 (Friday Afternoon Update)

Remember to qualify for Regionals you must be ranked inside the top 32 or win your League (If you have 5 or more teams). This week we breakdown the race to host plus the teams sitting on the bubble. Class 3A

League Champions earn an automatic berth in the playoffs as long as they win their league outright. Each league must have a minimum of 5 teams in it for an automatic berth.
Seeding Criteria for the 32-team state bracket-CHSAA Seeding & Selection Index published after the regular season. Seeds 9-16 are true seeded except to try and avoid league matchups in the First Round Only. Teams may be moved one spot up or down. Seeds 17-32 may be moved up to two spots based upon geography & League matchups.
First Two Rounds of the state tournament (Regionals) will be hosted by the top seed in that quadrant of the bracket, over two days. (4-teams total).
Top 8 teams will advance through the bracket. The bracket Will Not be reseeded before State. Class 3A Great 8 will play a Modified consolation bracket. Teams losing on Thursday will not advance to Friday.

Class 3A Girls

First Four Out

Liberty Common (33), Grand Valley (34), Florence (35), Olathe (36)

Looks like just one team of the Four First Four out has any shot at getting into the top 32. Liberty Common sits at .4551 and #32 Rye is at .4610. Rye has one game remaining against Florence and it’s a must-win game since Florence sits at #35. Liberty Common also has one game remaining against 4A Fort Morgan tonight. We could have our top 32 teams after today.

Bracket- League matchups will be avoided in the first round only. 8 Regional winners qualifying for state. State will not be re-seeded! And play a Modified consolation bracket!

The race for the final spot in the playoffs should be a good one. #32 Manual is at .513 and will be looking to hold off Salida. Manual won their final game remaining against DSST-College View. Salida has two remaining games against Vanguard and a opponent TBD. Salida may need one if not two wins to jump Manual.
