Class 3A Boys & Girls Regional Projections Week 11 (Saturday Morning Update)

Remember to qualify for Regionals you must be ranked inside the top 32 or win your League (If you have 5 or more teams). This week we breakdown the race to host plus the teams sitting on the bubble. Class 3A

League Champions earn an automatic berth in the playoffs as long as they win their league outright. Each league must have a minimum of 5 teams in it for an automatic berth.
Seeding Criteria for the 32-team state bracket-CHSAA Seeding & Selection Index published after the regular season. Seeds 9-16 are true seeded except to try and avoid league matchups in the First Round Only. Teams may be moved one spot up or down. Seeds 17-32 may be moved up to two spots based upon geography & League matchups.
First Two Rounds of the state tournament (Regionals) will be hosted by the top seed in that quadrant of the bracket, over two days. (4-teams total).
Top 8 teams will advance through the bracket. The bracket Will Not be reseeded before State. Class 3A Great 8 will play a Modified consolation bracket. Teams losing on Thursday will not advance to Friday.

Class 3A Girls

First Four Out

Platte Canyon (33), Grand Valley (34), Florence (35), Olathe (36)

Looks like 4 teams are battling for 3 spots. #30 Liberty Common sits at .476, #31 Rye sits at .474, #32 Windsor Charter sits at .470, and #33 Platte Canyon sits at .468. Things are very close between these teams. Rye is the only team that has a game remaining against 4A La Junta. A loss could be enough for Platte Canyon to jump into the final spot but a win will get Rye into the playoffs.

Bracket- League matchups will be avoided in the first round only. 8 Regional winners qualifying for state. State will not be re-seeded! And play a Modified consolation bracket!

It looks like the top 32 teams for Class 3A Boys is completed. #32 Wray sits at .500 and #33 Salida is at .490 but both teams have completed their schedule. Did find out that Salida did have one game remaining. It has changed everything as Salida looks to have jumped Wray as of 10pm tonight.
