Class 3A Boys Basketball Regional Predictions
Regionals are here and it’s win or go home time. Reaching Regionals is one of many steps for teams looking to reach the State Championship. To reach the state tournament is simple. Win your Region and you will go to the State Tournament. 8 regions and 8 teams advance to the State Tournament. Remember this is just my opinion, we are doing this for fun, and we are not cheering against any team. We know all the hard work that each team has put in to reach this point. Region 1 at Strasburg
#1 Strasburg over #32 Salida
#17 Highland over #16 Lotus School
#16 vs #17 should be a good one as both teams hope to take their shot at the #1 team.
#1 Strasburg over #17 Highland
A rematch of two league rivals should make the regional finals an interesting game. Since Strasburg lost to Brush they have turned it on winning key games against other top teams in the Patriot League.
Region 2 at Roaring Fork
#8 Roaring Fork over #25 Brush
#9 Wiggins over #24 Monte Vista
I think both Brush and Monte Vista will give the high seeds all they can handle in the opening round. Both of them have played against top competitive and I don’t think either are afraid of the high seeds.

This could be one of the best matchups of the Regional Finals! Roaring Fork has played against top 4A teams on the Western Slope and Wiggins is battle tested playing in the toughest 3A league. This should be a great clash between two good teams!
Region 3 at Yuma
#4 Yuma over #29 Lyons
#13 C.S Christian over #20 North Fork
#4 Yuma over #13 C.S Christian
Yuma vs C.S Christian will be an amazing matchup in the Regional Finals. C.S Christian has proven they can beat the top teams. Yuma is in the same boat they have beaten the top teams as well. Home court could make the difference in this matchup. I am looking forward to this regional finals.
Region 4 at Peyton
#5 Peyton over #28 Platte Valley
#12 St. Mary’s over #21 Bayfield
I think St. Mary’s vs Bayfield could be an interesting matchup. If Bayfield gets hot from outside they are extremely tough to beat with their size and length. If Bayfield is ice cold they will be in huge trouble against a very good St. Mary’s team.
#5 Peyton over #12 St. Mary’s
Peyton vs St. Mary’s should be a solid matchup in this regional finals. St. Mary’s picked up a nice win over CSCS to end the year plus took other top teams to the wire. Peyton has not played the toughest schedule but won 9 straight games winning multiple games by 20+ points during that run.

#2 Forge Christian over #31 Manual
#15 Meeker over #18 Denver Christian
Meeker vs Denver Christian should be one of the best matchups in the Opening Round. Denver Christian is battle tested playing in the 4A/3A Metro and Meeker surprised a lot of teams competing for the Western Slope league title.
#2 Forge Christian over #15 Meeker
Forge Christian is looking poised to make a deep run in Class 3A and it starts with qualifying for the state tournament. Forge Christian will be tested by Meeker or Denver Christian but look for the Fury to advance.
Region 6 at Windsor Charter
#7 Windsor Charter over #26 Centauri
#10 Liberty Common over #23 Arrupe Jesuit
I think both Centauri and Arrupe Jesuit could give the top teams challenges in this region. The higher seeds cannot over look their opponents to each other.
#7 Windsor Charter over #10 Liberty Common
This is one of the matchups to watch in the Regional Finals. The #7 vs #10 are usually very close and I expect that to be true in this matchup. Both teams have plenty of experience back and should be a great matchup.
Region 7 at Banning Lewis
#3 Banning Lewis over #30 Frontier Academy
#19 Olathe over #14 SkyView Academy
I think Olathe vs SkyView Academy could be a great matchup in the opening round. I could see both teams breaking the 70-point mark.
#3 Banning Lewis over #19 Olathe
Banning Lewis is locked in on making a deep run in the postseason but they ended their regular season falling to Lamar. Look for Banning Lewis state tournament experience to make a big difference.
Region 8 at Resurrection Christian
#6 Resurrection Christian over #27 Addenbrooke Classical
#11 Vanguard over #22 Thomas MacLaren
#6 Resurrection Christian over #11 Vanguard
Resurrection Christian vs Vanguard could be a great matchup in the regional finals. Vanguard has shown they can hang with the top teams in Class 3A and are playing their best basketball. Resurrection Christian is the defending State Champions, and they want to defend their title in Denver.
