Class 3A Girls State Tournament Predictions
We are a few days from the State Tournament kicking off. We will have predictions out Today and Tomorrow. I will give my predictions for all 4 Classes boys and girls. Wednesday we will preview Class 1A thru 3A Boys & Girls. If you would like to share your predictions, I would love to see everyone’s thoughts. Also, remember we are not cheering against any team, this is something we have done since we started the website, and we are wrong all the time!
Class 3A Girls State Tournament Predictions
Elite 8 Predictions
#1 Denver Christian over #8 Roaring Fork
Both teams played well on their way to making a trip to the State Tournament. Denver Christian has the experience plus played in a very tough league. Roaring Fork I felt played very well at regional and showed they can hang with the top teams. I think experience makes the difference but, look for this to be a good game.
#4 Centauri over #5 Salida Best Matchup of the Elite 8
This should be a great game! These two teams already squared off this season with Centauri earning the 50 to 38 win over Salida. That game was back in early December and neither team is the same. Centauri ended the season winning 4 straight games and Salida finished the season winning 10 straight games. I look for this to be a great matchup!
#2 Wiggins over #7 Resurrection Chrisitan 3rd Best Matchup of the Elite 8
Last year Wiggins pulled the upset as the #7 Seed and this year they will look to avoid the upset. Wiggins is playing their best basketball of the season winning 7 straight games including a 5 point win over Resurrection Christian. Resurrection Christian is also playing good basketball and they played well at regionals. This will be another great matchup.
#3 Yuma over #6 C.S Christian 2nd Best Matchup of the Elite 8
Nearly picked this as my top matchup of the Elite 8 but honestly all 4 games should be great games. Yuma was tested in their regional final but they got the win and come into the Elite 8 winning 4 of their last 5. C.S Christian avenged their loss to Buena Vista in the regular season getting a 4-point win this time around. Look for these two schools to square off in a great contest!

#1 Denver Christian over #2 Wiggins (State Championship)
#4 Centauri over #3 Yuma (3rd Place Game)
I think we are in for some AMAZING games In the Class 3A. I think the 8 teams who reached the state tournament all have a different scenario on how they can hoist the State Championship. I am very excited to see how everything boils down and I could easily see myself being way wrong, but I am excited for 3 great days of basketball.
