MileHigh Prep Report Boys Basketball Week 9 Rankings

We are in full swing of League games and lots of quality games and plenty of movement in the rankings.  My 3 #1’s all remain the same this week but there are plenty of new teams in the rankings this week.

Class 3A                                                                           Last Week

1.     Sterling (16-0) 1 (7 weeks)
2.     Vanguard (14-2) 2
3.     Manual (13-2) 3
4.     Faith Christian (13-4) 5
5.     Resurrection Christian (12-4) 6
6.     Lutheran (13-3) NR
7.     Kent Denver (13-3) 4
8.    Centauri (13-3) NR
9.     C.S Christian (14-3) NR
10.   Delta (11-4) 10
·         Others: Colorado Academy, St. Mary’s, Gunnison, Montezuma-Cortez, Bayfield, Coal Ridge, DSST-Stapleton, Lamar, Middle Park, Alamosa

Dropped out: Colorado Academy (7), Lamar (8), Bayfield (9)

Notes: Big shake up in the rankings this week after a few upsets.  Top 3 all remain the same.  Colorado Academy, Lamar, and Bayfield all drop out of the rankings.  Centauri, Lutheran, and C.S Christian all rejoin the rankings.

Class 2A                                                                     Last Week

Dropped out: Simla (6)

Notes: Big changes in the Top 10 this week.  The Top 4 remain the same and after that things get very complicated.  Denver Christian moves up to #5 beating Byers but lost to Dayspring Christian, Byers falls to #6 after the loss.  Vail Christian is taking care of business in the 2A Western Slope and move up to #7.  Limon lost to Burlington but hold the #8 spot due to losses from other teams in the Top 15.  Sedgwick County moves up to #9 winning two games last week.  Sargent joins the rankings this week winning 4 straight games.  Sargent gets the nod over Simla, Peyton, and Dayspring Christian because of losses after picking up big wins.

·         Others: Front Range Baptist, Springfield, Merino, Arickaree/Woodlin, Otis, Ouray, Briggsdale, Longmont Christian, Genoa-Hugo, Mile High Academy

Dropped out: Springfield (8)

Notes: Movement in Class 1A again this week.  Cheraw had a great week beating Kit Carson and Springfield and jump back into the rankings.  Springfield drops out of the rankings.  Sangre De Cristo also moves back up to #2.
