Weekly RPI Rankings Update: Baseball Class 3A-1A
RPI is one of the main factors for determining who makes it to Regional for Baseball. For Class 2A and 3A it is the only factor to determine who makes it to Regionals. Class 1A is a bit different with District Champions getting berths. (Will update every Tuesday)
Class 3A RPI Rankings & How to Qualify for Regionals
To Qualify for Regionals in Class 3A will be mainly on RPI. Each League Champion in Class 3A qualify for regionals. (TCA, Denver West, and Berthoud will qualify via RPI). 3A Colorado League must win the league or finish 2nd outright to automatically qualify a team. The remaining 24 teams will qualify by RPI. The bottom 8 teams can be rearranged or geographical purposes. To qualify for playoffs, 3A schools must play a minimum of 17 games. League champions must be in the top 16 of the RPI rankings in order to host a regional.

32 teams to regionals based on RPI. (The 8 teams with the highest RPI will host regionals, the remaining 24 teams will be ranked by RPI, and then any first round league matchups will be adjusted.) Class 1A RPI Rankings & How to Qualify for Regionals
Each District will qualify its top two finishers in each district to regionals. The next 6 teams in the RPI rankings will also make regionals. If a district has fewer than 5 teams, then it will receive only one automatic qualifier and the remaining qualifier will be selected from the RPI rankings. District Champions will be seeded by RPI 1-5, with the top 4 serving as regionals hosts. The fifth district champion will be seeded 5th. The remaining teams will be seeded in RPI order. Avoid first round district matchups. 1A schools must play a minimum of 12 games.
