After Winter Break Wrestling Update by Carlos Valencia
Well fans Christmas break is over, and the second half of the year is upon us. We have a month, and a half left this season. A lot of exciting tournaments will be happening in the next few months.
Kids will be dropping weight classes due to the 2lb allowance. I will be excited to see where kids will be wrestling in the next couple of weeks.
As we return this week, I would like to catch you up on some teams that performed excellent before the Winter Break.
In the Jimmy John’s NCCT we had a few teams do well. Centauri Falcons placed 3, Dolores Huerta placed 1, Mead and Valley also performed well with 2 placers for each, and Wiggins did well with 2 wrestlers and both placing in the top 4.

In the Pete and Ina Invitational held by John Mall, Trinidad won their 3rd team title in a row with 8 placers and 3 1st placers.
This weekend Gunnison will be hosting the Cowboy Invitational, Pagosa Springs will be hosting the Rocky Mountain Invitational and Alamosa with be hosting the Gary Ramstetter Tournament. All three schools will be a mixture of 2A and 3A school with a couple of higher classes in attendance.
