6-Man Football League Predictions Update Week 4

We are 3 weeks thru the regular season and league play has started for most league.  A few big surprises in 6-Man and should make for a fun end to the season.  I will continue to update my league predictions weekly.  Starting this week, I will have my Playoff Predictions and Projection in a separate article.  Also, starting next week we will start looking at eliminating teams from the playoff hunt and changing these article up just a bit.

North League

1. Fleming

2. Prairie

3. Briggsdale

4. North Park

5. Peetz

6. Weldon Valley

7. Pawnee

League play has kicked off inside the North League.  3 teams sit undefeated in league play currently.  Fleming stays as my pick to win the North League.  Fleming did not play a league game last week losing to 8-Man Haxtun.  Fleming will face Pawnee and should move to 2-0 in league play.  Prairie is my pick to finish second in league play.  Prairie is 2-0 in league play with wins over Weldon Valley and North Park.  Prairie will face a tough battle this week when they meet up with Peetz.  Briggsdale is also 2-0 in league play with wins over Pawnee and Weldon Valley.  Briggsdale take a break from league play this week with a non-league game against Otis.  North Park is 0-1 in league play and play a make-or-break game this week against Weldon Valley.  If North Park wants to stay in the mix for the playoffs, they must beat Weldon Valley this week.  Peetz is 1-1 in league play and as mentioned above have a big game against Prairie this week.  Weldon Valley and Pawnee are on the verge of being eliminated from the playoff hunt.

East-Central League

1. Stratton

2. Idalia

3. Arickaree/Woodlin

4. Hi-Plains

5. Otis

6. Flagler

League play kicked off for most team inside the East Central league.  Stratton is my pick to win the East Central.  Stratton moved to 1-0 in league play blasting Otis 57-18.  Stratton has a bye this week before playing back-to-back big-league games.  Idalia took a break from league play and faced #1 Granada.  Idalia lost 62 to 14.  Idalia has a bye this week to regroup and move back into league play next weekend against Hi-Plains.  Arickaree/Woodlin took a break from league play as well and faced Hanover.  Arickaree/Woodlin moved to 2-1 on the season with a 38-28 win.  Arickaree/Woodlin also has a bye this week.  After their bye they face Stratton in a huge league matchup.  Hi-Plains is 0-2 on the season and had a bye last week.  Hi-Plains this week has a non-league matchup against Kiowa and is big game for both teams to try and keep their playoff hopes alive.  Otis is 1-2 on the season and fell in their first league game to Stratton.  Otis has a non-league game against Briggsdale this week.  Flagler is 1-1 on the season and have a non-league game this week against Hanover this is a must win for both Hanover and Flagler.

Central League

1. Genoa-Hugo

2. Hanover

3. Deer Trail

4. Kiowa

The Central League has played a few league games so far, but we are still very early in the process.  Genoa-Hugo moved to 1-0 in league play and 3-0 overall.  Genoa-Hugo is still my pick to win the Central League.  Genoa-Hugo has a bye this week and then face Hanover after the bye and could be for the league title.  Hanover is 1-2 on the season and won’t kick off league play till 9/24.  Hanover will face Flagler in a non-league game this week.  This is a must win game for both teams.  Deer Trail is 1-1 on the season and face Miami-Yoder in a non-league game.  This is another must win game for both teams.  Kiowa is 0-3 on the season and face Hi-Plains this weekend.  This is a must win game for Kiowa if they want any shot at reaching the playoffs.

South East League

1. Granada

2. Cheyenne Wells

3. Cheraw

4. Eads

5. Kit Carson

6. Walsh

All 6 teams inside the South East league have played 1 league game so far.  League play really picks up this week.  My pick to win the South East League is Granada.  Granada is 2-0 currently and this week face #2 Cheyenne Wells.  This is a huge league matchup and will have huge implications going forward.  Cheyenne Wells is 3-0 overall and they blasted rival Kit Carson 69-6 last week.  Cheyenne Wells as mentioned faces #1 Granada in a huge league matchup.  Cheraw moved to 1-0 in league play beating Walsh 46-12.  Cheraw will face Kit Carson this week in league.  Cheraw will hope to keep pace with the winner of Cheyenne Wells and Granada.  Cheraw will face Granada next week.  Eads is 1-2 on the season and 0-1 in league play.  Eads will have their second league battle this week when they face Walsh.  This is a big game for both teams as playoff hopes will be in the balance.   Kit Carson and Walsh will be underdogs this week, but an upset could push them back into the playoff hunt.  Both teams are on the verge of being eliminated from the playoff hunt.

South Central League

1. Branson/Kim

2. Primero

I believe just 2 teams are playing inside the South Central League this year.  Branson/Kim must be the favorite of the two.  Branson/Kim moved to 3-0 on the season blasting Deer Trail last week 72-14.  Branson/Kim this week will face Cotopaxi and will be a decent test.  Branson/Kim schedule is not the most difficult but in a few weeks Branson/Kim will face Granada and will be a good challenge.  Primero is 0-1 on the season.  Primero will face Branson/Kim on 9/25.

Southwest League

1. Sierra Grande

2. Mountain Valley

3. Cotopaxi

4. La Veta

5. Cripple Creek

The Southwest League kicked off league play last week.  Sierra Grande and Mountain Valley were both victorious and move to 1-0 in league play.  Both these teams are the favorites in this league.  They meet up this weekend on 9/18.  This will probably be for the league title.  Both teams are also in the hunt for the playoffs.  Cotopaxi is still in the hunt for the playoffs but play a very difficult schedule.  Cotopaxi will need to pull an upset somewhere on their schedule to try and pick up crucial wins to sneak into the playoffs.  Cotopaxi loss to Walsh could be their undoing.
