Class 3A Football Top Games of the Week by Jeremiah Johnson
Headed into the last week before conference games begin there are some real good games this week, starting with the 3A highlight game of the week has undefeated Northfield playing host to a top 10 4A team in Vista Ridge, the Nighthawks who have outscored their opponents 161-32 thru the first 4 games must find a way to slow down Vista Ridge’s offense which is averaging 45 points per game led by Senior Quarterback Brayden Dorman (Arizona Commit) and Senior WR Brandon “BEBE” Hills (Washington state commit) all we can say is get your popcorn ready!
Some other notable games:
#3 Green Mountain 4-0 playing at home against Mead 1-3.
Undefeated George Washington hits the road to play Far Northeast Warriors.
2-2 Conifer travels to play 2-2 Holy Family.
2-2 Thompson Valley travels to play at 3-1 Niwot.
3-1 Lincoln plays at 4-0 Summit.
And last but not lease of my highlighted games has an early season must win game as winless Pueblo South Colts travel to Monarch, If Coach Goddard wants any chance of the colts making the 3A playoffs this year they must pretty much win out. I do believe that South facing the adversity from there last game a loss to rival Pueblo East in the cannon game will go up to Monarch and come away with the win and setting them up for a run thru an easy conference schedule.
