Class 3A Boys State Tournament Predictions
We are a few days from the State Tournament kicking off. I have decided to deem Tuesday as Prediction Tuesday. I will give my predictions for all 3 Classes boys and girls. Tomorrow we will have something special for all 3 classes boys and girls.
Remember I am not cheering against any teams! Good Luck to all 8 teams competing for a State Championship!
Class 3A Boys Regional Prediction Review
Class 3A Boys had one of the craziest regional rounds we have had in a long time. Multiple upsets and some #20 seeds reaching the Elite 8. It does always seem that a few upsets happen in 3A but this year was a bit crazier. I picked 5 of the 8 State Qualifier teams correct. I missed #21 SkyView Academy, #23 Pinnacle, and #6 Windsor Charter.

Elite 8 Predictions
#1 Faith Christian over #9 Yuma
Could this be one of the best games of the rest of the tournament? I think so. These two teams played in the District Finals with Yuma falling by 11 but a key injury did hamper Yuma in the 4th quarter. This should be a great game and wish it did not happen till the Final Four. I can see either team winning, and I will be keeping a close eye on this game.
#4 Highland over #21 SkyView Academy
SkyView Academy was one of those teams that was not supposed to be here but a big win over Ellicott and a solid win over Strasburg got them to the Elite 8. Highland played one of their best defensive games against Stargate School and cruised into the Elite 8. I think Highland offensively controls this game and advances.
#2 Salida over #23 Pinnacle
Pinnacle is another team who was not supposed to reached the Elite 8 but an upset of Vanguard and a win over Ignacio got them here. Salida took care of business against a very good Brush team in the sweet 16 and will look to advance to the Final 4. This is Salida first trip to the state tournament in over 30 years.
#3 Centauri over #6 Windsor Charter
I did not pick Windsor Charter to get here and had them being upset but I was wrong. Windsor Charter took care of both opponents including a hot Manual team. Windsor Charter now looks to upset the #3 team. Centauri is coming off an impressive win over Prospect Ridge Academy where they limited Max Vacco to just 14 points. Chaz Holman showed why he is my Player of the District with 24 points. Centauri is not looking for a return trip to the final four and state championship.
