#16 Eads over #17 Denver Waldorf
Eads enter the playoffs at 10-4 and finished 4th in the High Plains League. Sr. Damien Barnes (14.2 ppg), Jr. Brandon Lening (9.8 ppg), and Fr. Porter Spady (9.5 ppg) are the 3 leading scorers for Eads. Eads went 2-3 against playoff teams. Denver Waldorf enter the playoffs at 7-5 and finished 6th in the 5280 League. Will McHenry (14.4 ppg), Dylan Quinn (11.8 ppg), and Lucas Lewis (8.5ppg) are the 3 leading scorers for Denver Waldorf. Denver Waldorf went 1-4 against playoffs teams. I am picking Eads over Denver Waldorf. I think Eads has proven themselves more against playoff teams. This will be a great matchup in the first round!

Briggsdale enter the playoffs at 10-2 and were the league champions of the North Central League. Jr. Tanner Fiscus (14.0 ppg), Jr. Malik Carlson (13.2 ppg), and Jr. Michael Bittenger/Bradon Krise (12.0 ppg) lead Briggsdale in scoring. Briggsdale went 2-2 against Playoff Teams. Rocky Mountain Lutheran went 0-4 against playoff teams. I am picking Briggsdale over Rocky Mountain Lutheran. I think Briggsdale has the playoff experience and more wins against Playoff Teams.
#12 Sangre De Cristo over #21 Pikes Peak Christian
Sangre De Cristo enter the playoffs at 9-3 and won the Class 1A Southern Peaks League. Sr. Kevin Enriquez (15.0 ppg), So. Luke Christensen (14.9 ppg), and So. Leighton Curtis (9.6) are the top 3 scorers for Sangre De Cristo. Sangre De Cristo went 1-3 against playoff teams (across all classes). Pikes Peak Christian enter the playoffs at 7-4 and finished 4th in the Class 1A Black Forrest League. Jr. Ben Schneider (15.5 ppg), Sr. Joey Yocum (14.6 ppg), and Sr. Ethan Moore (13.6 ppg) lead PPC in scoring. Pikes Peak Christian went 0-3 against playoff teams. I am picking Sangre De Cristo over Pikes Peak Christian. Sangre De Cristo has some playoff experience returning from last year plus I think their difficult schedule will help them in close games.
#13 Evangelical Christian over #20 Hi-Plains
Evangelical Christian enter the playoffs at 9-4 and finished second in the Class 1A Black Forrest League. Jr. RJ Wagner (14.3), So. Jared Guest (11.3 ppg), and Jr. Michael Mann (9.0 ppg) lead ECA in scoring. ECA went 1-4 against playoff teams. Hi-Plains enter the playoffs with an 8-5 record and winners of the YWKC League. Sr. Nick Schroeder (12.9 ppg), Sr. Zayd Banks (9.9 ppg), and So. Cooper Seamon (9.5 ppg) lead Hi-Plains in scoring. Hi-Plains finished 1-3 against playoff teams. I am picking ECA over Hi-Plains. I do believe this will be a very good game. ECA has the playoff experience from a year ago and I think will give them the slight edge of Hi-Plains in a very solid matchup.
#18 Cheyenne Wells over #15 Kim/Branson
Kim/Branson enter the playoffs at 10-4 and winner of the Arkansas Valley League. Kim/Branson surprised me this season going 10-4 after losing a solid senior class. Kim/Branson went 1-4 against Playoff teams. Cheyenne Wells enter the playoffs at 9-5 and finished 3rd in the High Plains league. Cheyenne Wells is also a young team but have plenty of playoff experience back. Cheyenne Wells went 2-4 against playoff teams. I believe this will be the best game in the first round of the playoffs. I am picking Cheyenne Wells over Kim/Branson in a very close game. Was not an easy pick but I think the experience Cheyenne Wells has back will be the difference in this game.
#10 Caprock Academy over #23 Fleming
Caprock Academy enter the playoffs at 11-3 and finished 4th in the Class 1A/2A Western Slope League. Sr. Daniel Spinu (13.3 ppg), Jr. Jonathon Abshear (12.2 ppg), and Jr. Andrew Jordan (11.6 ppg) lead Caprock Academy in scoring. Caprock Academy went 2-4 against playoff teams. Braylen Feather (13.9 ppg), and Sr. Chris Goss (6.6 ppg) lead Fleming in scoring. Fleming went 1-4 against playoff teams. I am picking Caprock Academy over Fleming but this could be an interesting matchup. Fleming has the playoff experience over Caprock Academy. This is Caprock Academy first year with big success and interested to see how they handle playing in the playoffs.
#11 Haxtun over #22 Simla
Haxtun enter the playoffs with a 9-5 record and finished 7th in the Class 2A/1A Lower Platte League. Haxtun performed well this season in a very tough Lower Platte League. Haxtun has just 1 senior on their team and have been building for a few years. Haxtun went 3-5 against playoff teams this season. Simla enters the playoffs with an 8-6 record and winners of the Class 1A Black Forrest League. Sr. Coletin Mazerall (13.9 ppg), So. Brayden Glover (13.8 ppg), and Sr. Gavin Ashmore (4.6 ppg) lead Simla in scoring. Simla went 2-4 against Playoff teams. This is another very good matchup in the first round. Haxtun is a younger team but have playoff experience from last year. Simla also has plenty of playoff experience and were District champs in Class 2A last season. I think Haxtun ability to have multiple scorers is the difference in this game.
#14 Genoa-Hugo over #19 Longmont Christian
Genoa-Hugo enters the playoffs at 10-3 and finished 2nd in the Class 2A/1A Union Pacific League. Jr. Wyatt Miller (15.3 ppg), Jr. Colby Simmons (11.6 ppg), and Sr. Triston Lindt (7.2 ppg) lead Genoa-Hugo in scoring. Genoa-Hugo went 2-2 against playoff teams. Longmont Christian enter the playoffs at 6-6 and finished 7th in the 3A/2A/1A Mile High League. Sr. Bo Lafferty (17.3 ppg), Jr. Christopher Gunlikson (7.8 ppg), and Sr. Kyle Saunders (7.3 ppg) lead Longmont Christian in scoring. I am picking Genoa-Hugo over Longmont Christian, but this will be a battle. Genoa-Hugo has playoff experience, but Longmont Christian played the tougher regular season schedule.
