Class 2A Baseball Regional Projections

We give are first regional projections using the latest CHSAA Seeding and Selection Index.  Remember for Class 2A that to make the regional bracket you must be ranked in the top 32 of the CHSAA Seeding and Selection index.  Class 2A plays a single elimination bracket. (I will have the 2A bracket at the end)

Class 2A

• Thirty-two (32) teams qualify for the regional/state tournament based on the CHSAA Seeding and Selection Index (RPI/MaxPreps).  League Champions not in the top 32 would receive an automatic qualify position (Minimum of 5 teams in a league for automatic berth).  The eight (8) teams with the highest CHSAA Seeding and Selection Index (RPI/MaxPreps) host regionals, the remaining twenty-four (24) teams will then be seeded by the CHSAA Seeding and Selection Index (RPI/Maxpreps) and then any first round league matchups will be adjusted.
• The bottom 8 teams may be moved for geographical purposes.
• The tournament will be a 32-team single elimination tournament.

Southern Peaks: Monte Vista

Santa Fe: Swink

Lower Platte: 1A team or if split into 2A Wiggins

Tri-Peaks: Buena Vista

Black Forest: Peyton

Union Pacific: Limon

Western Slope: Meeker

San Juan: Ignacio

Custer County (33), Calhan (34), Sedgwick County (35), Denver Academy (36)

Bracket- District matchups will be avoided in the first round.  8 Regional winners qualifying for state.  State will not be re-seeded!
